Explorium Binnenhof
Document.nu is the online platform of the project Document for a Monument – about the Binnenhof, the oldest House of Parliament in the world still in use. In cooperation with photographer Dick Holthuis and the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, I have initiated the development of an online platform, exhibitions and a series of coffee table books about the history, its residents and the renovation process of this remarkable institute of democracy.

Germania Inferior – Cartobibliography of the Netherlands
The new cartobibliography Germania Inferior describes four periods of the Low Countries: the origins (1363-1543); the unitary state (1544-1579); the separation of North and South (1580-1648); and the developments up to 1800 and beyond.
Compiler, author and publisher – Hans Spikmans: “This time span, with its Burgundian and Habsburg periods, has produced very instructive wall maps and folio maps, many in color and illustrated with detailed beautiful, detailed cartouches. This cartography also found a market elsewhere in Europe.”
Germania Inferior is currently included in leading university libraries around the world.

Lieke Langezaal Tuin Architectuur
Lieke has designed gardens everywhere, as far away as Spain, France, Switzerland and even the United States (New York), but mainly in the Netherlands, from Friesland to Limburg and from Noord-Holland to Gelderland. These are not ‘quirky’ gardens that radiate what she likes. These are gardens that are ‘tailor-made’ for her clients. “I ‘do’ small gardens as well as large ones. Sometimes I make small gardens ‘big’ and large gardens very intimate.”
